Meet Becs

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for visiting For the Love of (NO) Gluten!

One last visit to my favorite pasta place in Georgetown, D.C. I indulged in pasta and a huge cannoli after a few hours of tears. I will miss you sweet, sweet handmade pasta from Filomena's.
I am a 21 year old college junior who attends Roanoke College in Virginia, USA. I am studying psychology with minors in Spanish and sociology. For the spring 2018 semester, I have decided to spend 4+ months studying my favorite topics on the other side of the world, in the town of Palmerston North, New Zealand. Right before I left, I learned some shocking news, and I knew I wanted to share my knowledge and journey with all of you!

This project has been my child since I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease on February 1st of 2018. Nine days before my 21st birthday - which was supposed to be FILLED with craft beer breweries in Asheville (North Carolina), and 15 days before I embarked on my trip across the globe to New Zealand.

I decided to begin this blog to document my successes and struggles (but mainly successes) finding my way through the gluten free lifestyle far away from home.

I'm still learning about Celiac Disease, and I'm still trying to find the best eats!

Feel free to contact me via email or comment! I'm excited to learn from you all as well!

Love,
Becs
